Our organization is involved in numerous projects aimed at strengthening climate action.
We also offer services to raise awareness, education, and capacity to address challenges related to climate change.
education
The Institute offers programs in English and Slovenian, live and online, tailored for different purposes and target groups (e.g. teachers, journalists, municipal or ministry employees, etc.) on the following topics:
- Climate Change Science Basics and Fundamentals of Climate Policies and Measures; International, EU and national
- Climate Chnage Mitigation (Measures to Reduce GHG Emissions)
- Climate Change Adaptation (resilience and risk management)
- A Systems Thinking Methods and Tools and Approach to Climate Action
- Tailored Trainings for Different Target Groups
consulting
The institute offers the production of analyses, assessments, reports, calculations and the preparation of customized solutions in the field of climate change mitigation, adaptation and systemic approach. Examples include:
- carbon footprint calculation
- preparation of climate risk analysis
- development of a mobility plan
- …
Implementation of customized solutions for individual clients, including research on support for the implementation of solutions in municipalities, companies, etc.
awareness raising
The Institute organizes and participates in events related to the challenges of climate change. What we have done and what we are planning can be seen in the Events tab.

advocacy
Within the institute, we develop and participate in advocacy campaigns and individual activities, such as publishing comments on current changes in laws, policies and measures. We monitor legislative changes and make suggestions for improvements. In this way, we try to influence changes in legislation and practice in the EU, in Slovenia and locally.
Examples of responses:
- participation in the European Commission’s consultation on the next financial framework (Multiannual financial framework, MFF)
- preparation of comments on the Decree on the Program for the Use of the Climate Change Fund for the years 2025 – 2028
- commenting on the Social Climate Fund program of measures
- participating in open consultation of the National Housing Program
- participation in campaigns of the Coalition for Sustainable Transport Policy
In order to strengthen our advocacy role, we also participate in various European, Slovenian and other projects.
Donate
