Projects
IPREŠ has been participating in many projects and networks since its establishment.
We are proud to join the Coalition for Sustainable Transport Policy in successfully applying for the Eco Fund’s call for proposals for the Sustainable Mobility Network’s Climate Programme in March 2025.
We are involved in various activities within the framework of the climate programme, from individual campaigns, advocacy activities to internal training. The first training by IPREŠ was held on 22 October 2025.
In July 2025, we were also accepted as members of the Network for Space (“Mreža za prostor”), which is led by the Institute for Spatial Policy, IPoP, as the network coordinator.
In April 2025, the new Climate Program of the Network for Space was launched, supported by the Eco Fund as part of the call for co-financing climate programs of content networks of non-governmental organizations in the fields of environmental protection and spatial planning.
The Climate Program also envisages a series of joint activities with content networks in the fields of environmental protection and sustainable mobility, such as the implementation of a climate assembly, the continuation of the Green Advisory Service, the Climate Newsletter, and the Legal Info Point.
Campaign supported by Impact4Values program: SLOWLY GETTING BETTER: Campaign for a city tailored to people
IPREš, together with the Ljubljana Cycling Network, the Association for the Promotion of Cycling and Sustainable Transport (LKM) and the Cycling Mayor of Ljubljana, Matej Praprotnik, organized an action in the fall of 2025, supported by the Impact4Values program, with the aim of enabling a broader, constructive discussion on the benefits of improving traffic regulation for the benefit of vulnerable population groups, sustainable mobility and thus the environment.
Through various advocacy and protest actions, we highlighted the problems of the current traffic regulation in Črnuče, which strongly favors personal motorized transport. A new petition was prepared, including the argumentation of the proposals, and accompanying leaflets and a brochure. Supporting communication, awareness-raising and advocacy activities included collecting signatures for the petition, disseminating arguments in the media and online, and confronting opinions. We organized a series of field support and protest actions such as the bike bus (group cycling to school), critical mass – cycling in large numbers to draw attention to the inadequacy of cycling infrastructure, including an accompanying street performance, and a citizens’ meeting where there was a space to confront arguments FOR and AGAINST, a presentation of a visualization of a sustainable solution, and a screening of the educational film Why we cycle about the advantages of cycling.
The action concluded with the submission of the petition to representatives of the City Council, who will also be able to implement the proposed changes, thus achieving the goal of encouraging concrete changes in the space.
